Potassium (K) is a primary nutrient element that plants absorb from the soil more than any other nutrient except nitrogen. Plants must find and adequately take up the potassium they need in the environment where they grow.
It has been determined that potassium enhances the activity of at least 60 enzymes involved in plant growth.
Potassium is a highly important element for quality criteria such as color, aroma, taste, and storage in fruits and ornamental plants.
Various studies have shown that plants that cannot receive sufficient potassium mature later.
Potassium has been observed to increase the resistance of various plants against diseases and pests. For example, in 1,209 cases examined in different plant species, potassium’s positive effect against diseases and pests was found to be an average of 65%.
Potassium plays an important role in transporting water and nutrient elements to different organs of the plant through the xylem vessels. In potassium deficiency, the transport of nitrates, phosphates, calcium, magnesium, and amino acids is negatively affected.
Potassium has essential functions in loading photosynthesis products into the phloem and transporting them to various organs of the plant for storage.

| Seedlings | Dosage varies by soil structure. Generally, 500–600 g per decare applied through drip irrigation after planting. |
| Greenhouse Vegetables & Strawberries | Start after planting. Apply 500–750 g every 1–2 weeks until flowering. For flood irrigation, dosage must be doubled. |
| Open-Field Vegetables | 500–1000 g per decare via drip after transplanting. Apply 2–3 times. Flood irrigation requires double dosage. |
| Banana | 750–1000 g per decare 10 days after planting; 500–750 g during bunching stage. Double dosage for flood irrigation. |
| Olive, Citrus, Fig | In spring and autumn, apply 200–300 g per tree via drip. 2–3 applications. Double for flood irrigation. |
| Pome & Stone Fruit Trees | Before new leaf emergence in spring: 400–600 g per tree. Same dosage in autumn. 2–3 applications. Double for flood irrigation. |
